Manchester United are open to selling Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window, according to reports.

The Sun claims that the Armenia international has failed to convince Jose Mourinho of his quality and could now leave Old Trafford in the next transfer window.

The 27-year-old joined from Borussia Dortmund in a £26 million deal this summer but has featured in only four Premier League games.

Mkhitaryan last played for United in their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in September 10 and was hauled off at half-time by Mourinho.

Last week, Mourinho confirmed that Mkhitaryan is fully fit but the midfielder failed to make the matchday squad for the games against Liverpool, Fenerbahce and Chelsea.
