The Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), yesterday said it would drag the Nigerian Army to the United Nations and International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly killing over 150 Biafra activists.
In a statement by its leader, Mr. Uchenna Madu, following Saturday Telegraph’s prompting, MASSOB said it had resolved to take the security agents to the UN and ICC and that there was no going back on the decision.
The group noted that: “MASSOB condemns totally condemned the brazen denial of Nigeria Army on the extra-judicial killings of more than 200 unarmed, non-violence and peaceful Biafra agitators (MASSOB / IPOB members) within the last one year.
“MASSOB viewed the quick denial of Nigeria Army against Amnesty International Official report on the ethnic genocide carried out against Biafrans by the Buhari-led Nigerian Army as an act of cowardice, fear and jittery because their primitive and insensitive acts backed by religious/ethnic pathological hatred against the people of Biafra are now bare to the whole world. “Nature will surely bring Biafra to reality.
The blood of dead innocent women and children of Biafra shall never be in vain. Buhari cannot fight corruption without justifying the extra-judicial killing of both Shi’ite Muslims, IPOB and MASSOB members.
“The Shi’ite, IPOB and MASSOB had never killed anyone or attacked any village, or take peoples land, or destroyed people’s farms but they only focus on their course for self determination.
But Nigerian army with their rule of engagement had never arrested or brought any Fulani herdsmen to justice but rather they secure their cows and arming them with AK47 to fight against Biafrans and Christians in general with the tactical support of President Buhari.
“Parasitical, the Fulani tribe will not rule Nigeria forever, so the day of judgment and reckoning is at hand. Buhari and his army cannot cheat nature because the evil of Buhari will certainly haunt Hausa Fulani and other enemies of the people of Biafra and it will continue to haunt Nigeria until justice is done.
“MASSOB with utmost acknowledgment salute the Amnesty International for their eloquent and unbiased position on the brutal massacre of innocent, non-violent and unarmed Biafra agitators by the Hausa Fulani dominated Nigerian Army.”
Also speaking, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), said it would drag the Nigerian Army to the UN and ICC over the killings of Biafra activists. Speaking to our correspondent in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, the Executive Coordinator of IPOB, Mr. Ugochukwu Nweke, said though the killings of Biafra agitators by security agents was before the UN, the group would facilitate the case to ensure justice for the slain activists.
“Yes, our case is before the UN and ICC over the extra-judicial killings of our members but we are going to speed up the case because of the findings of Amnesty International.
“We commend the Amnesty International for their report on the killings of our members and we are warning the Federal Government and security agents to stop the killings,” he warned.
