Salomon Kalou says Victor Moses was always destined for greatness
The Ivorian says Chelsea’s support has been key to Moses’ fine form Former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou has disclosed that he knew Victor Moses was always going to make it at Stamford Bridge. Moses, who has been in blistering form this season, was signed as Kalou’s replacement in 2012.
However, he is only now showing his true talent after a series of good performances in a new role under Antonio Conte. And according to Kalou, 31, Moses is showing his best due to greater backing than he has had before.
The Hertha Berlin forward who still counts himself a Chelsea fan told Goal.com: “I’m not surprised by Moses’s form. “He never had a big chance like this before. He never really had this chance to show off.
A big player has to have the chance to play.
“It is difficult to show your skills when you don’t play, and this season he has shown the quality that you need at this level; I am not surprised. He is a fast and technical player with great stamina to go forward and then to come back.
“Chelsea have supported him very well [this season] and that is why I am not surprised that we are seeing the best of him. He will have a great season in a blue shirt.” Moses has flourished in a new wing-back role in Chelsea’s successful 3-4-3 formation which has sparked the Blues a seven-game winning run in the Premier League.
