On Tuesday, January 10, the Federal High Court had moved to commence the criminal trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu and three others.
Kanu and his co-accused were alleged to have committed various offences from treasonable felony, mismanagement of an unlawful society, concealing of goods in a container among many others.
Although the defendants had in an application prayed the court squash all the charges against them for lack of merit they did not leave the court premises to Kuje prison where they are being held without some drama.
One of the accused persons in the case – the second defendant – Benjamin Madubugwu while entering the prison van conveying them hailed all Baifra supporters who thronged the court premises.
In this video below, Benjamin could be heard chanting: “All hail Biafra, All hail Biafra” before being taken away in a van by Kuje prison officials.
