Serious Internal Crisis Continue To Rock APGA As NWC Issues Stern Warning To Vice Chairman Of The Party Over His Unguided Statement
The attention of the national working committee (NWC) of APGA, has once again been drawn to a news item on television yesterday (October 24 2016) in which the vice chairman of APGA (south east zone), Ozo Nwabueze Okafor claimed to have presided over a fictitious meeting of the national working committee to ratify a purported suspension of the national chairman Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye.
May I on behalf of the national working committee (NWC) of APGA assure members and well wishers of our great Party that no such meeting of the APGA NWC was ever held at anytime or in any place where such a decision was ever taken? Besides, Ozo Nwabueze Okafor, as a zonal vice chairman of the Party, does not have the constitutional powers to either convene or preside over a meeting of the national working committee (NWC) of APGA.
Once again, members of the national working committee (NWC)of APGA, remain unquestionably committed to the resolutions reached at the Peace meeting convened at the instance of the national leader and chairman Board of Trustees, Governor Willie Obiano, on Wednesday October 13 2016; wherein members of the national working committee (NWC) collectively committed themselves to the continued growth and development of our great Party, under the leadership of Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye, as the national chairman.
In the light of these recent developments, members of the national working committee would wish to assure our Party members and well wishers, that an emergency meeting of the national working committee (NWC) would be convened soon to address these continued acts of indiscipline by the vice chairman, (south east zone) ozo Nwabueze Okafor, and appropriate disciplinary sanctions shall be applied in accordance with the Party constitution.
Finally, for the avoidance of doubt, The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) remains one united family under the leadership of Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye as the national chairman.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
