OMG! Thousands Of Biafran Supporters Scream Out Loud In The Streets As Nnamdi Kanu Was Denied Bail Today [See Photos And Video]
A massive crowd of supporters gathered to support their leader Nnamdi Kanu, who appeared at Federal High Court of Abuja today, on Thursday, December 1. The presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako, declined to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on bail.
Equllay, three other pro-Biafra agitators, Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi, who are facing trial alongside Kanu were denied bail. And while the IPOB supporters who agitate for restoration of the sovereignty of Biafra as a separate republic were obviously disgruntled with the decision, Nnamdi Kanu was in high spirit throughout his time in court.
Meanwhile, the IPOB has described the recent launch of “Operation Python Dance” by the Nigerian army as a plot of the federal government and the governors of the south-east zone to unleash terror on its members in the area.
Recall that Nnamdi Kanu is a political activist based in the United Kingdom who was arrested for charges of “criminal conspiracy, intimidation and membership of an illegal organisation by Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS) in Lagos on 14 October, 2015. Since then he has been held in prison despite various court orders that ruled for his release.
