RMB Job Recruitment: 3 High-Paying Roles You Need to Apply For Right Now

RMB job recruitment is officially open for three high-paying roles in Lagos, and if you have the right finance or IT experience, this is your chance to work with a top African bank.

Let me tell you something about Rand Merchant Bank that most people don’t know.

This is not one of those small banks you see in every street corner in Lagos. RMB is a division of FirstRand Bank Limited — one of the biggest financial services groups on the entire African continent. They do corporate banking. They do investment banking. They do advisory work, funding, trading, the whole package. This is serious money. Serious clients. Serious work.

And right now they’re hiring.

Three positions. Lagos. And the deadlines are closer than you think.

So if you’ve been looking for your next move in banking — not just any banking, proper corporate and investment banking — pay attention to this one.

The Three Positions Open At Rand Merchant Bank Right Now
1. Internal Auditor — Lagos
This one is for the tech-minded audit people. If you’ve been doing IT audit or risk management or technology assurance and you feel like your current job isn’t paying you what you’re worth, this is your chance to move.

What they want:

A Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or something related to that field. Professional certifications like ACCA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor — those are advantages, not requirements, but if you have them you’re already ahead of other applicants.

You need at least four years of experience in IT audit, process audit, risk management, or technology assurance. Not two years. Not “I did an internship once.” Four solid years.

They want someone who actually knows this stuff inside out — General Controls Review, Application Controls Review, CAATS, Project Auditing. If you’re reading those words and they sound like a foreign language, this one might not be your lane. But if you’ve been doing this work and you know what all of that means, then RMB wants to hear from you.

You also need to know your way around audit analytics tools, Power BI, and the usual Microsoft Office stuff. IT governance frameworks, compliance standards, cybersecurity principles — all of that needs to be in your back pocket.

Application deadline: 6th July, 2026

2. Corporate Coverage Analyst — Lagos
This one is for the finance people. The ones who went to school for Finance or Economics or Accounting and have spent the last few years building experience in corporate banking or investment banking or financial services generally.

You need between three and six years of experience. Not entry level. They want someone who already knows how this world works. Someone who has been in client coverage roles or product support or sales enablement before.

What you need to bring to the table:

Strong financial analysis and research skills. Understanding of corporate and investment banking products. The ability to sit in front of a client and speak with confidence about what your bank can do for them.

If you’ve done CFA or ACCA, say it proudly. Own it. You earned it — don’t hide it. You worked hard for those letters. Put them where they can be seen. And if you don’t have them? It’s not the end of the world. You can still apply. Just know that you’ll be competing with people who do, so your experience and confidence will have to speak louder.  RMB job recruitment

RMB isn’t just looking for someone who can build a fancy Excel model. They want someone who can sit across from a client, hold a conversation, explain numbers in plain English, and actually understand what the business needs. It’s one thing to calculate figures. It’s another thing to understand how a deal affects a company’s future. That bigger-picture thinking? That’s what they’re after.

And abeg, don’t wait until July 6th is staring you in the face before you start rushing your application. That deadline will come faster than you think.

3. Debt Financing Solutions Senior Transactor — Lagos
This is the big one. The senior role. The one that requires experience and confidence and the kind of skill set that you don’t build overnight.

You need at least five years of deal-making experience. Corporate finance. Structured finance. Not just watching people do deals from the side. Actually being part of putting deals together. And if you’ve done deals in Nigeria specifically, that’s even better.

A relevant bachelor’s degree is required. ACCA, CFA, or MBA — those are advantageous but the real thing they care about is whether you can actually do the work.  RMB job recruitment

And this is important — they need someone willing to travel. West Africa. South Africa. Internationally if required. This is not a Monday morning emails and 4pm close kind of job. You will be moving. You will be meeting clients. You will be in rooms where big decisions about money are being made and you need to hold your own in those rooms.

The technical side is heavy. You need to understand all financial instruments. You need deep knowledge of credit analysis and debt structuring. Tax law, accounting, contracts — they want someone who knows this stuff inside out. Not someone who will learn on the job. Someone who already knows.  RMB job recruitment

Relationship-building is everything here. RMB wants someone who can walk into a meeting with a borrower and advise them properly. Not just sell them a product. Actually guide them through processes and structures. That takes experience and it takes confidence.

Application deadline: 2nd July, 2026 — this one closes first so don’t sleep on it

Why Rand Merchant Bank Matters
Most people looking for banking jobs in Lagos apply to the usual suspects. First Bank. GTBank. Access Bank. Zenith. Nothing wrong with those places. But RMB is different. This is a bank that operates at the corporate and investment level. The kind of bank that handles deals worth millions of dollars. The kind of bank where you’re working with multinational corporations and governments and institutions that move serious capital.  RMB job recruitment

Getting into RMB doesn’t just give you a job. It puts you in a network that spans across Africa. FirstRand is South African. The connections you make there open doors you didn’t even know existed. Your career trajectory in banking changes completely when you have RMB on your CV.
