A Nigerian bride has cried out online after accusing a wedding decorator, identified as EventByMuse, of collecting ₦300,000 for her wedding decorations but failing to show up on her wedding day.
According to the bride’s account, which is circulating online, she discovered the decorator on Instagram and agreed to pay ₦300,000 for decoration services for her wedding.
The bride said she initially paid ₦150,000, representing 50 per cent of the agreed amount. However, she alleged that the decorator later insisted on receiving the outstanding ₦150,000 before the wedding.
Trusting that the agreed services would be delivered, the bride said she paid the remaining balance, bringing the total amount paid to ₦300,000.
However, she was left disappointed when the decorator failed to appear on the wedding day, leaving her without the decorations she had paid for.
Wedding Decorator Allegedly Cites Mother’s Hospital Emergency
Recounting what happened after the wedding, the bride said the decorator later explained that she could not attend because her mother had reportedly been rushed to the hospital.
The bride said she understood that medical emergencies could happen unexpectedly. However, she reportedly became concerned when they asked the decorator to disclose the hospital where her mother had been taken so they could visit and confirm that she was receiving treatment.
According to the bride, the wedding decorator allegedly refused to reveal the hospital’s location.
Bride Demands Refund of ₦300,000 from Wedding decorator
Following the alleged failure to provide the agreed decoration services, the bride said she requested a full refund of the ₦300,000 she had paid.
However, she alleged that the decorator refused to return the money, prompting her to speak out about the experience.
