Nigerian social media personalities Peller and Jarvis have reportedly blocked each other on social media following a heated online argument, barely two months after their marriage.
The development has sparked attention amid reports that Jarvis is seven months pregnant with the couple’s child.
The disagreement occurred during an online argument in the early hours of today, when Peller suggested that he and Jarvis should act as parental figures to Jarvis’ younger sister, including having a say in her decisions and choice of a future husband.
Jarvis, however, rejected the suggestion, arguing that her family would not have chosen Peller for her if they had been responsible for selecting her husband.
Online argument
She also urged Peller to stay out of her family’s affairs and concentrate on matters concerning his own family.
The exchange reportedly escalated after Peller became upset and removed Jarvis from the live session before blocking members of her family on social media.
During the online argument, Peller was also heard repeatedly asking his fans whether the disagreement had anything to do with his body size.
Following the incident, Jarvis reportedly blocked her husband on social media. Peller later expressed his displeasure over her action in a post on his WhatsApp channel, where he insulted her for blocking him before blocking her in return.
The disagreement has drawn attention to the couple’s relationship, particularly given that they are reportedly expecting a child, with Jarvis said to be seven months into her pregnancy.
However, neither party’s further response to the incident was included in the available account as at the time of filing this report.
Newsflash had earlier reported that Jarvis, the wife of Nigerian TikTok star Peller, has expressed opposition to his plan to travel to China for business, insisting that she is not willing to remain alone in Canada while he pursues the opportunity.
Jarvis made her position known in a statement that has since generated debate on social media.
“I’m not in support of Peller travelling to China for business and leaving me here alone in Canada. I don’t care if he’s going to make $1 billion. I don’t give a d@mn! I’m not doing the understanding wife thing. Nobody should bring that talk near me,” she said.
Her remarks have drawn mixed reactions from social media users, with some defending her right to express her feelings while others argued that she should support Peller’s business ambitions or resolve the disagreement privately, without bringing it to public.
Nigerians React to Jarvis ‘ Statement
Reacting to the controversy, an X user, @Your Version Of god Is A Lie (@nbk_nbk), criticised people attempting to advise the couple, arguing that they should be allowed to handle their relationship challenges themselves.
“Let them deal with their challenges. As young as they are, they’ve been bold to venture into marriage. You with a big mouth, are you married, to want to advise someone on marriage life?” the user wrote.
Another user, @BIG ABASZ (@onlyreal_abas), questioned whether Jarvis’ position could be linked to pregnancy hormones, writing: “I don’t care if he is making $1 billion Is this still caused by pregnancy hormones.”
Meanwhile, @The Voice (@seedorf_zino417) argued that the disagreement should remain a private matter between the couple.
“This should be between her and her husband na Why Una dey post this kind tweet self,” the user said.
Similarly, @hassie (@queen_hassie) advised Jarvis to communicate directly with Peller and reach an agreement with him rather than turn the disagreement into a public debate.
“Nobody de share your husband with. Just talk to him and make una agree,” the user wrote. Continue reading here
