Cubana Chief Priest Speaks on Tinubu Support
Speaking about his political position, Cubana Chief Priest said criticism directed at supporters of the president would only strengthen their loyalty.
“The more they bully us for supporting President Tinubu, the more dedicated we are to loving him,” he said.
Cubana Chief Priest also expressed confidence in his choice, declaring that nobody was better than Tinubu. He compared his political preference to supporting a football club, using Real Madrid and Charlton FC to explain his position.
“You don’t expect me to see Real Madrid and go follow Charlton FC,” he said.
Why Cubana Chief Priest Supports Tinubu
Cubana Chief Priest has publicly defended his support for Tinubu as political discussions gather attention ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, the businessman also praised Tinubu’s impact on Lagos, describing the city as the most active working city in Africa. The statement reflected his view of the president’s influence on the commercial hub.
His political position has attracted public attention, particularly because he previously supported Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, before backing Tinubu ahead of the next presidential poll.

Meanwhile, Di’ja political statement sparks debate over whether personal interests and financial benefits can influence political loyalty and the willingness to speak the truth.
Singer Di’ja has got Nigerians talking again, this time not about music but politics, after she dropped a line that has since taken on a life of its own online: “When politics pays your bills, the truth becomes your enemy.”
Short statement, but it carries weight. And judging by the reactions trailing it, plenty of people understood exactly what she meant.
At the heart of her remark is a question Nigerians have asked for years. Can someone really speak the truth about a political figure or party when their own livelihood is tied to that same side? Di’ja seems to think it becomes difficult, if not impossible.
The former Mavin Records act didn’t name anybody, didn’t point fingers at any particular party or personality. She simply put the statement out there and left people to draw their own conclusions, which is probably why it spread the way it did. Read more here.
