Reno Omokri Atiku appeal demands the former VP apologise to President Tinubu for disrespectfully calling him ‘Bola’ during his latest press conference.

Reno Omokri Atiku appeal has triggered fresh debates across political circles after the former presidential aide openly scolded former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for dropping official protocol when addressing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reno, who used to work under Goodluck Jonathan back in the day, couldn’t hide his annoyance after watching Atiku speak to the press. What got on his nerves was how Atiku kept calling the President “Bola” like they were mates in primary school, completely ignoring his official title.
In an open letter to the PDP leader, Reno told him straight that he made a bad call and needs to apologize publicly without wasting time. He argued that stripping a sitting president of his title sets a toxic precedent that lowers the quality of opposition politics in the country.

He stressed that even when Atiku suffered intense political persecution under former President Olusegun Obasanjo—who famously declared the Vice President’s office vacant in December 2006 and stripped him of official privileges—Atiku never addressed Obasanjo as “Olusegun.” He noted that Atiku always maintained respect for the office of the President despite their fierce personal fallout.
Omokri also raised an ethnic angle to the controversy, recalling how Atiku addressed former President Muhammadu Buhari during their fierce 2019 legal and political battles. Reno pointed out that throughout the bitter political war with Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, Atiku never once dared to call him “Muhammadu” in public.
Doing it to Tinubu now, Reno warned, just makes it look like he only respected Buhari because they are both Northerners. He brought up a 2022 moment where Barack Obama politely schooled Trevor Noah that calling a leader by his first name is flat-out rude.
Reno even reminded Atiku how he demanded an apology in 2022 when a politician was rude to him, saying you can’t demand respect from others while disrespecting the President. He warned that undermining the dignity of the Nigerian presidency before the international community ultimately harms the very country Atiku aspires to lead. Reno Omokri Atiku appeal

The long-running legal battle in Washington over the Tinubu FBI case has just entered its final, most critical stage.
The US District Court handling the matter officially closed the deadline for final briefs on Friday, meaning the lawyers on all sides have made their last pitch. The entire case now sits on the judge’s desk for review and final judgment.
The lawsuit, brought under the American Freedom of Information Act by law firm Von Batten-Montague-York, seeks to force the FBI and the Drug Enforcement Administration to unseal confidential files regarding alleged past heroin-trafficking investigations involving Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu. President Tinubu’s lawyers in the United States have put up a fierce fight to keep those files locked away.
They asked the court for blanket privacy protection, arguing that digging up old investigative archives would cause severe harm to his personal standing and reputation as a sitting head of state. Continue reading here
