VeryDarkMan (VDM) has responded to rapper Zlatan Ibile after an unreleased song sparked speculation about a possible dig at the activist.
VDM mocked Zlatan’s wedding and album promotion, questioning whether the rapper would achieve major success with his upcoming music.
Nigerians have shared mixed reactions online, with some supporting Zlatan and others criticising VDM for continuing the exchange.
VDM Fires Back at Zlatan Ibile Over His New Song
Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has fired back at rapper Zlatan Ibile after a song snippet to target him triggered online conversations. In his response shared on social media, VDM mocked the rapper’s wedding and questioned the success of his album promotion, drawing fresh reactions from Nigerians.
The exchange follows a report by Newsflashngr about Zlatan’s unreleased song, Inferno, featuring Peruzzi and Shodaya. The track’s lyrics sparked speculation that the rapper was taking a swipe at VDM.
VDM Mocks Zlatan’s Wedding and Album Promotion
VDM’s response focused on Zlatan’s music and his recent wedding, which attracted attention from celebrities and social media users.
The activist said that Zlatan’s efforts to promote his album through the wedding had failed to deliver the expected results. He also questioned whether the rapper could achieve a major chart position with his upcoming music.
VDM said: “Watin go pain me be say if this your song no do number 1 for one month on Apple Music. Person way do wedding to promote album the wedding and album no blow. Person wey do a whole wedding to promote album, album no blow, wedding no blow. All the blog, no one chop 5,000 comments”
His comments have added another chapter to the online exchange, with social media users debating whether his response was justified.
How Zlatan’s Song Sparked the Exchange
The controversy began after Zlatan previewed Inferno, a song featuring Peruzzi and Shodaya. As reported earlier by Newsflashngr, listeners linked one of the lyrics to VDM because it mentioned the name Vincent.
The lyric that attracted attention was:
“I no be Vincent I no fit Mastub@te”
The song was scheduled for release on October 29, 2026, according to the earlier report. VDM’s latest response has now shifted attention from the lyrics to the pair’s public exchange.
