APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will secure more than 70 per cent of votes in Northern Nigeria in the 2027 election.
Yilwatda made the prediction at the inauguration of the Arewa for Asiwaju secretariat in Abuja, citing infrastructure projects, education and healthcare initiatives.
Former Kebbi State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said the group would mobilise support for Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima across Northern communities.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will receive over 70 per cent of votes in Northern Nigeria in the 2027 election.
Yilwatda made the prediction on Saturday at the commissioning of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) secretariat in Abuja, where he urged people in the region to support Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
The APC chairman said the President’s infrastructure projects, appointments, education policies and healthcare initiatives were among the reasons the North should support his re-election.

Yilwatda cited several road projects across Northern Nigeria, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano route and roads linking other states in the region.
He also mentioned the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas pipeline, railway projects, irrigation dams, healthcare programmes and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as some of the administration’s interventions.
According to him, the projects show that the Tinubu administration has spread infrastructure development across the northern geopolitical zones.
“We have many reasons to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, so many reasons. Our son, our father, our leader, the Vice President, is one reason why we should support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Yilwatda said.
He also praised Tinubu for what he described as an inclusive approach to governance, saying the administration had brought Nigerians from different religious and ethnic backgrounds together.
The APC chairman urged supporters to back the joint ticket of Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for another four-year term.
Why Tinubu could get over 70% of Northern votes in 2027 Election
Yilwatda said Tinubu could secure more than 70 per cent of votes in the North if supporters mobilised voters in their respective hometowns and polling units.
“If we win only in our respective hometowns and polling units, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure over 70 per cent of the votes in the North. So, we have no reason not to return Mr President,” he said.
He also highlighted healthcare initiatives, including health centres and free medical services for pregnant women, as reasons residents should support the President.
The prediction comes as political groups begin to organise around the 2027 presidential election, with parties and supporters seeking to strengthen their support bases across the country.
Arewa for Asiwaju begins mobilisation for Tinubu Ahead 2027 Election
The former Kebbi State Governor and Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, also called for support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
Abubakar said the administration’s record in infrastructure, education, social investment and security justified another term.
He cited road, bridge, railway and power projects, as well as the student loan scheme, which he said had created opportunities for young Nigerians seeking higher education.
On security, the former governor acknowledged that challenges remained but said some communities were beginning to recover and residents were returning to their farms.
Abubakar said Arewa for Asiwaju would mobilise support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket through governors, legislators, traditional institutions and young people.
He added that the group planned to reach communities at the state, local government, ward and polling-unit levels.
The A4A director-general also described the new campaign headquarters in Abuja as a three-block complex featuring three-storey buildings, offices, a conference room and a situation room for coordinating campaign activities. Click here to read more
