An APC supporter has defended President Bola Tinubu amid criticism over reports that an APC youth leader shared new Prado SUVs with political mobilisers.

The comments have drawn reactions on social media, with some users criticising the defence and questioning the use of public resources.
APC Supporter Defends Tinubu Over Prado SUVs
An All Progressives Congress (APC) supporter has defended President Bola Tinubu following public outrage over reports that a party youth leader shared new Prado SUVs with political mobilisers.
The supporter argued that the controversy reflected a misunderstanding of how politics works, insisting that winning elections requires a different mindset from that of critics who questioned the reported distribution.
The remarks come after Dayo Isreal, an APC national youth leader who shared images of new Prado SUVs intended for mobilisers before deleting the post on his X handles.
‘Allow Him to Play His Politics’
In a statement circulating on social media, the supporter maintained that Tinubu was focused on securing electoral victory and should be allowed to pursue his political strategy.
The APC supporter said:
“Tinubu is a great politician who is only doing everything possible to win the election. After all, politics is a game of who knows how to play it best.”
The supporter also questioned whether young people criticising the reported distribution would turn down such an offer if they were in the same position.
“If you were one of the youth leaders and you were offered an SUV, wouldn’t you accept it?”
The speaker described the criticism as emotional and argued that Tinubu’s political approach differed from that of his opponents.
Nigerians React to the Controversy
The reported SUV distribution has triggered criticism from social media users, some of whom questioned the priorities of political leaders.
Eric Nwaobiora (@ericnwaobiora1) questioned the rationale behind spending on vehicles instead of delivering on government responsibilities.
Dammy (@HabibossCFC) also expressed frustration with the arguments defending the situation, while Ian (@lanswago) asked where the sense of shame was.

“Tinubu shared ordinary SUVs, and you people are complaining. Governance is not an easy task, and being a leader is not easy. Tinubu is a great politician who is only doing everything possible to win the election. After all, politics is a game of who knows how to play it best.
If you were one of the youth leaders and you were offered an SUV, wouldn’t you accept it? You people are just being emotional. Tinubu’s political mentality is different from yours, so you should allow him to play his politics.”

Nigerians on social media have criticised the reported spending, raising concerns about political priorities and Nigeria’s healthcare challenges.
Nigerian journalist Rufai Oseni has criticised All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader Dayo Israel following his announcement that he presented brand-new 2026 Toyota Prado SUVs to selected youth leaders for election mobilisation.
Oseni questioned the reported cost of the vehicles and suggested that the money could be better spent on buses that could later serve as ambulances, sparking further debate about political spending and Nigeria’s healthcare needs.
Oseni reacted to a video of Israel showcasing the luxury vehicles, arguing that the expenditure could run into billions of naira, depending on the number of SUVs distributed.
