“Tinubu Must Go” Protest: Governor Zulum Threatens Furi0us Arrests Against Citizens

“Tinubu Must Go” protest organizers face a dangerous arrest threat in Borno as Governor Zulum vows to crackdown on armed groups in Maiduguri.

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has issued a stern arrest warning to youths organizing the “Tinubu Must Go” protest while wearing weapon-branded shirts in Maiduguri. The governor vowed to crackdown on troublemakers to prevent the state capital from sliding back into violent unrest.

Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has drawn a hard line, warning that anybody caught joining the “Tinubu Must Go” protest inside his state should prepare for immediate arrest.

The governor did not sound like a man willing to negotiate when he spoke about the troubling trend. His problem is not just the political agitation itself, but the dangerous elements now hiding behind it and the offensive items they are carrying around Maiduguri.

What really triggered his furious outburst was the clothing and weapons display. According to Zulum, some of these young men are moving around town in singlets printed with graphics of firearms and knives, openly identifying themselves with disruptive groups.

“You put it in writing on the singlet. You wear a T-shirt showing a sign of arms and knives. You wear the singlet and move around claiming to belong to a particular group,” he said during his broadcast.

For a state that has spent well over a decade crawling out of the devastating wreckage left behind by Boko Haram, that kind of armed display is taken extremely seriously. Government officials in Borno view armed symbolism on public streets as a direct threat to peace, not legitimate political expression.  “Tinubu Must Go” protest

Zulum made it clear that folding his arms is simply not an option anymore. He warned that if these activities continue unchecked, Maiduguri will quickly slide back into a place where nobody can safely live.

“I swear, if we stand by and watch these things happen without taking actions. I swear, this town will not remain habitable if this continues. I am telling you,” the governor warned.  “Tinubu Must Go” protest

He also exposed a shocking reality that many residents already know but rarely discuss publicly. Certain commercial parts of the city have become no-go areas once night falls, with movement after 11 o’clock becoming genuinely risky due to these rogue groups.

The governor insisted the state holds enough power to flush out these troublemakers quickly, but expressed frustration over how a lack of unity and cooperation among local leaders keeps slowing down security operations.

“You cannot enter some area around 11 o’clock. Those people, we will deal with all of them within ten minutes. But because there is no unity and cooperation…” he added.  “Tinubu Must Go” protest

His message to anyone planning to march through Maiduguri in those branded shirts is simple and brutal. Political anger is understandable, but walking around with weapon imagery in a state still healing from insurgency will land you straight in police custody.

Meanwhile; Primate Ayodele warning exposes deep political crisis, severe hardship in Nigeria, and issues a stern curse alert to the INEC chairman ahead of 2027.    “Tinubu Must Go” protest

A fierce Primate Ayodele warning has rocked political circles after the popular cleric openly told President Bola Tinubu that his inner circle is feeding him polished lies while everyday Nigerians suffer devastating economic pain.

The INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church leader did not hold back at all during his latest address on the state of the nation. He insisted that anyone telling Aso Rock that things are going smoothly across the country is playing games with the truth.

“Everything is not going well in Nigeria under this Tinubu government,” Ayodele declared, pointing out that ordinary citizens are currently living through severe hardship while party loyalists pretend all is well.  Continue reading here
