“You Turned Him Against His Family”: Baba Mohbad Blasts Toluwanisings’ Wife, Compare Singer’s Case to Son

Baba Mohbad has weighed in on the burial dispute involving late gospel singer Toluwanisings and his family.

He questioned the circumstances surrounding the disagreement, comparing the singer’s father’s living condition with that of his mother-in-law.

His comments, shared amid the ongoing family disagreement over where Toluwanisings should be buried, have triggered mixed reactions online.

Baba Mohbad, the father of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has joined the growing conversation surrounding the burial dispute involving gospel singer Toluwanisings and his family.

In a controversial statement, he criticised the singer’s wife over the disagreement, claiming that she turned her husband against his family before his death.

Baba Mohbad speaks about Toluwanisings’ family dispute

Toluwanisings reportedly died suddenly on October 14, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State. His death has been followed by disagreements between his father and widow over his final resting place.

While his father reportedly wants him buried either at the family house in Ibadan or beside his late mother in Ikirun, his widow prefers a cemetery or church premises.

The disagreement reportedly centres partly on concerns about raising her children in a home where their father’s grave would be located.

Reacting to the development, Baba Mohbad compared the situation with the controversy surrounding his own son’s burial. He also drew attention to the difference between the living conditions of Toluwanisings’ father and his mother-in-law.

“People are saying Toluwanisings’ case is like Mohbad’s case, but the mother-in-law is living in a good house with AC, while Toluwani’s dad is living in a room where he pays ₦35k per year. You married a man and turned him against his family.”

His statement has added another voice to the heated conversation, although the claims he made about the singer’s marriage have not been independently established.

Baba Mohbad’s comments spark mixed reactions

The comments have generated different opinions among social media users, with some supporting his position and others questioning his involvement.

Some reactions also suggested that the public should avoid reaching conclusions without knowing the full circumstances surrounding Toluwanisings’ family disagreement.
