Skales Reveals Why Wizkid Insulted His Parents, Makes Shocking Claim About ‘Mukulu’ Video

Nigerian singer Skales has revisited his strained relationship with Wizkid, claiming the Starboy once insulted his parents and accused him of wearing fake jewellery.

The singer disclosed that his former girlfriend was responsible for responding to Wizkid’s tweets using his phone during their online exchange.

Skales also recalled how Wizkid allegedly failed to appear in his ‘Mukulu’ music video, giving a flat tyre as his reason.

Nigerian singer Skales has opened up about his long-standing issues with fellow music star Wizkid, revealing previously undisclosed details about their social media exchanges and an alleged disagreement over a music video appearance.

The singer said he had made efforts to settle their differences but still felt that Wizkid did not like him, despite their history in the Nigerian music industry.

Skales reveals who replied Wizkid during their online exchange

Newsflashngr reported that on Monday, November 2, 2026, Skales recalled how Wizkid allegedly made insulting comments about his parents and questioned the authenticity of his jewellery during their disagreement on Twitter.

However, the Shake Body crooner explained that he was not the person responding to Wizkid at the time, as his former girlfriend was allegedly using his phone to engage in the exchange.

The singer’s revelation adds another dimension to the disagreement, which had previously attracted attention among fans of both artistes.

Skales maintained that he had never personally intended to engage in a prolonged fight with the Grammy-winning singer.

What Skales said about Wizkid’s absence from ‘Mukulu’ video

The singer also shared another experience that contributed to his belief that Wizkid did not have a good relationship with him.

According to Skales, he made efforts to reconcile with Wizkid, and they occasionally spoke. However, he recalled an incident involving his ‘Mukulu’ music video, where he expected the Made in Lagos hitmaker to make an appearance.

Skales claimed that Wizkid did not show up for the video shoot and explained his absence by saying he had a flat tyre.

He recalled the incident as one of the reasons he continued to feel that Wizkid was not particularly fond of him.

The singer said:

“I’ve tried to make peace with him. He was supposed to be in my ‘Mukulu’ video, but he told me he had a flat tire.”
