Peller explains why he portrayed Jesus Christ

The controversy started when Peller appeared during a livestream wearing a white and red outfit with a wig and asked his guest to address him as Jesus Christ.

His guest immediately objected, warning him against making jokes about religion. He also reminded the streamer that his large following came with a responsibility to set a good example for his audience.

He also maintained that nobody alive knew exactly what Jesus looked like. During the heated exchange, he described himself as a traditionalist and spoke about dressing like an Imam during another livestream.

The comments further increased tension among those participating in the broadcast.

“Yes, I’m very sorry. Yeah, I just wore that white cloth. I don’t know it is a problem I am facing. Christian people, sorry.”

Peller also expressed affection for Christians and spoke about his religious background, claiming that he attends Christ Apostolic Church.

He further said he was Muslim on one side, although he did not explain what he meant by the statement.

The streamer ended his appeal by repeating his apology to Christians.
