A young woman has recounted how she lost her virginity to an older man who promised to marry her, only to discover his alleged double life.
She said she was diagnosed with chlamydia and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) three months after their first sexual encounter.
In a story shared by Ayomiposi on X and gathered by Newsflashngr, the lady revealed how another woman later contacted her with photographs showing that the man had been in a three-year relationship.
Lady recounts how boyfriend allegedly betrayed her after taking her virginity
A young woman has opened up about a painful relationship experience that left her battling a sexually transmitted infection (STI), heartbreak and a loss of trust in relationships.
In an emotional first-person account shared by Ayomiposi on X, the lady narrated how she gave her virginity to an older man who repeatedly promised her marriage, only to discover that he had allegedly been maintaining another relationship throughout their time together.
According to her account, she was 19 when she started experiencing serious health complications, just three months after becoming sexually active with the man she identified as Daniel.
She said Daniel was 26 when they met and appeared financially comfortable, caring and serious about building a future with her.
The lady explained that she had never been intimate with anyone before meeting him and made her expectations clear from the beginning.
She recalled how he convinced her that she was special and that he wanted to be the man she would eventually marry.
Lady discovers she has chlamydia, undergoes treatment
Recounting how their relationship began, she said she eventually trusted Daniel enough to become intimate with him.
She remembered how emotional she felt afterwards and how he reassured her with words that made her believe she had made the right decision.
“I promise you, you’ll never regret giving yourself to me.”
However, she claimed that his behaviour changed within weeks. He reportedly became distant, guarded his phone and sometimes disappeared without explaining where he had been.
Things became more frightening when she started experiencing unusual discharge, pelvic discomfort and bleeding between her periods.
She initially ignored the symptoms because she felt embarrassed and assumed her body was adjusting to sexual activity.
But the situation worsened one morning when she developed severe lower abdominal pain and could barely walk.
Her roommate reportedly took her to the hospital, where doctors requested several tests, including an STI screening and pelvic ultrasound.
According to her account, the results showed that she had chlamydia and signs of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID).
The doctor reportedly explained that PID could cause scarring, long-term pelvic pain and possible fertility complications if left untreated.
The diagnosis left her terrified, especially because Daniel was the only man she had ever been intimate with.
She recalled asking the doctor whether she would still be able to have children.
“She reassured me that it did not automatically mean infertility, but I needed prompt treatment.”
The young woman said she received antibiotics and was advised that her sexual partner also needed testing and treatment.
When she contacted Daniel about the diagnosis, however, his response allegedly left her even more devastated.
Rather than asking about her condition, he reportedly became defensive.
“Are you trying to tell me I gave you something?”
She said she tried explaining that she was not accusing him but was frightened and wanted him to get tested.
His next statement, however, stayed with her.
“Just because I was your first doesn’t mean you should make me responsible for everything happening in your life.”
Another woman contacts lady with shocking pictures of Daniel
As though the hospital experience was not enough, the young woman said another unexpected incident happened later that evening.
She reportedly received a message from a woman who wanted to know how long she had been involved with Daniel.
Confused, she answered that they had been together for several months.
The woman then sent her photographs showing Daniel standing beside her with his hand around her waist.
According to the account, the woman subsequently revealed that she was Daniel’s girlfriend and that they had been together for three years.
She also claimed that their families knew about the relationship and that they were already making plans to get married.
The revelation reportedly left the 19-year-old heartbroken.
She immediately called Daniel several times before he eventually answered.
When she confronted him about the other woman, he allegedly admitted that he had intended to explain the situation.

She questioned how he could discuss marriage and a future with her while maintaining another serious relationship.
However, his response reportedly offered little comfort.
“You’re making this complicated. I never promised you a wedding date.”
The lady said Daniel also described her as too emotional when she reminded him of the promises he had made.
She further confronted him about the STI diagnosis, but he allegedly insisted that he had no symptoms and refused to accept responsibility.
Lady sees boyfriend’s engagement announcement months later
The young woman said she completed her antibiotics and attended her follow-up medical appointments, adding that her symptoms eventually improved.
However, recovering emotionally proved much more difficult.
She explained that the experience affected how she viewed herself and made it difficult for her to trust men who showed genuine interest in her.
She also admitted that she spent months blaming herself, wondering whether she had trusted Daniel too quickly or misunderstood his intentions.
About six months later, another discovery brought back painful memories when she came across his engagement announcement.
Daniel was reportedly preparing to marry the same woman who had contacted her.
The photographs showed the couple celebrating their engagement, exchanging rings and enjoying moments with their families.
She said seeing the pictures made her cry, not because she wanted Daniel back, but because of the way he had treated her.
“I cried because the same man who had made me feel like I was the only woman in his world had gone ahead and built a future with someone else while leaving me to deal with the consequences of his dishonesty.”
She said she never contacted him again and eventually stopped blaming herself for trusting him.
The lady added that she no longer considered herself damaged because of what happened.
“I was not damaged goods. I was a young woman who trusted someone who did not deserve that trust.”
She also expressed regret over the experience, saying she wished she could return to her younger self and protect the 19-year-old girl who believed Daniel’s promises.
Her account ended with one painful detail: despite everything she said she went through, Daniel never apologised.
“I didn’t just lose my virginity to Daniel. I lost the innocence with which I approached love, the confidence I once had in relationships, and months of my life trying to understand why someone who claimed to love me could treat me that way.”
“And the part that still hurts? He never once apologised.”

I was 19 when I lost my virginity to a man who promised he would marry me. Three months later, I was sitting in a hospital, listening to a doctor explain what was happening to my body. That wasn’t even the worst discovery. The worst part was finding out that the man who had been my first was living an entirely different life behind my back.
I met Daniel when I was 18. He was 26, financially comfortable, charming, and seemed to know exactly what to say whenever I had doubts about our relationship.
I had never been intimate with anyone before him. I made that clear because I wasn’t looking for a casual relationship. I wanted someone I could build a future with.
Daniel knew this. He talked about marriage, introduced me to his friends, and repeatedly told me that he wanted to be the man I would never regret choosing.
Eventually, I trusted him enough to take that step.
I remember lying beside him afterward, feeling vulnerable and emotional. He held my face, kissed my forehead, and said, “I promise you, you’ll never regret giving yourself to me.”
I believed every word.
What I didn’t know was that I had just given my trust to a man who had absolutely no intention of protecting it.
Within weeks, his attitude changed. He became distant, started hiding his phone, and would sometimes disappear without explanation.
Then my health started deteriorating.
It began with unusual discharge, pelvic discomfort, and bleeding between my periods. I ignored the symptoms because I was embarrassed. I thought perhaps my body was simply adjusting to being sexually active.
But one morning, I developed such severe lower abdominal pain that I could barely walk.
My roommate took me to the hospital.
After an examination, the doctor requested several tests, including an STI screening and pelvic ultrasound.
I remember the silence in that consultation room when she returned with my results.
She explained that I had tested positive for chlamydia and had signs of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), an infection that can affect the uterus and fallopian tubes.
She explained that untreated PID can cause scarring, chronic pelvic pain, and sometimes fertility complications.
I started crying.
I asked whether this meant I would never have children.
She reassured me that it did not automatically mean infertility, but I needed prompt treatment.
I was prescribed antibiotics and advised that my sexual partner also needed testing and treatment.
Daniel was the only person I had ever slept with.
I called him from the hospital.
His first response wasn’t to ask how I was feeling.
He said, “Are you trying to tell me I gave you something?”
I told him I wasn’t accusing him. I was scared and needed him to get tested.
He became furious.
Then he said something I will never forget:
“Just because I was your first doesn’t mean you should make me responsible for everything happening in your life.”
I ended the call.
But that evening, a woman sent me a message that made me forget about the pain I had been experiencing.
