Content creator Gilmore has defended comedy and skit-making as smart ways to make money, revealing that he spends over ₦200,000 daily from his content creation activities.
He cited Carter Efe’s financial gains from a stunt and said he would also use content creation to pursue his dream of owning a G-Wagon.
His comments during an interview have sparked debate online, with some Nigerians praising his strategy while others warned young people against abandoning other careers for content creation.
Gilmore Defends Content Creation as a Money-Making Strategy
Nigerian content creator Muhammed Gilmore Adekunle has stirred reactions after defending what he described as “f00ling” as a smart way to make money in the entertainment industry. During an interview, he explained how comedy, skits and online reactions could turn seemingly ordinary ideas into profitable opportunities.
Gilmore also shared details of his earnings, arguing that content creation could offer financial rewards beyond what some people make from conventional employment.
He said: “F00ling na em make Carter Efe buy TVU for $30,000, you have to be intelligent for you to pull a joke from nothing. I spent 200 thousand Naira everyday from f00ling. Someone gave Peller G-Wagon, I will f00l to get a G-Wagon!”
The content creator used Carter Efe as an example of how humour and unusual stunts could attract attention and create financial opportunities.
Gilmore Talks About His Background and Creative Approach
Gilmore, a Chemistry graduate of the University of Lagos, has built his identity around online entertainment and point-of-view (POV) content.
He also described himself as Africa’s “king of POV” and questioned the usefulness of advice from prominent people when their experiences did not match his reality.
The interview summary also credited his reactions with helping to boost Asake’s M$NEY album, claiming that the singer later thanked him at a club.
However, the material provided did not include independent evidence confirming the extent of Gilmore’s contribution to the album’s success.
Nigerians Debate Gilmore’s Message to Young People
While some social media users found humour in Gilmore’s approach, others argued that his comments could encourage young Nigerians to prioritise viral content over other career paths.

One critic, Marvel David, said he enjoyed Gilmore’s content but disagreed with the idea that everyone should follow the same route to success. He also pointed to young entrepreneurs building businesses despite their current struggles.
Another commenter, TANIMOLA, joked that the strategy was driven by hunger, while Godwin Enwongulu linked Gilmore’s remarks about people recording themselves speaking English to a possible reference to Solomon Buchi.
Reliable also challenged the suggestion involving Peller’s luxury vehicle, insisting that Peller bought his car himself.
