Remuneration $57,768 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site Allowance)

About the Position
Undertake plant operation, truck driving and labouring tasks as part of a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the Council’s water and sewerage infrastructure assets in accordance with recognised standards.

Fitzroy River Water is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Plant Operator/Labourer to join their team specialising in water and sewer construction.
You will be responsible for a wide range of plant operation and labouring tasks, along with servicing and maintaining Council’s trucks and heavy earthmoving equipment.
You will have a great team attitude, with the flexibility to work within multiple teams, and have experience within civil construction environment. Your experience in undertaking general labouring duties, including pipe laying and concreting and your ability to operate and maintain small machines and hand tools will assist with your success in this role.
With a positive attitude and focus on the community, you will be dedicated to providing a quality service to both internal and external customers.
Applicants who hold Skid steer/Backhoe tickets, Traffic Management Implementation and Design and Confined Space Certificates are strongly encouraged to apply. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

MR Class Licence, Excavator and Front End Loader Ticket and experience in the operation and servicing of these machines.
Construction and maintenance experience within water and sewerage infrastructure.
Ability to work well within a team environment as well as autonomously, with a positive attitude.
