Baba Ijesha also revisited the allegation that he used a key to sexually abuse a seven-year-old girl.
According to him, he responded to the accusation by referring to his own daughter and making a disturbing statement to those who accused him.

What happened to Baba Ijesha’s court case?
Baba Ijesha’s comments come against the background of his conviction in a child sexual abuse case that attracted widespread attention in Nigeria.
On July 14, 2022, a Lagos State High Court convicted him of sexual assault and indecent treatment of a child. He received prison sentences of five and three years for the offences, to run concurrently.
The Court of Appeal, in a judgment delivered on June 28, 2024, overturned convictions relating to alleged incidents from 2013 and 2014 but upheld his convictions for offences committed in 2021.
In November 2025, the Lagos State Government clarified that the actor’s release from prison did not mean he had been cleared of the offences. The government explained that he was released after completing the prison term upheld by the appellate court.
