Reacting to the viral video, X user @Mr.Morale, identified as @AlexSinzu, called for a humorous religious intervention, writing: “All men suppose gather do hallelujah challenge beating version for this warey.”
Another user, @XAZ (@mezusam), appeared to support the woman’s response, suggesting the man had been taken for granted.

“I like as she didn’t appreciate it. She saw you as a mugu and treated you like one,” the user wrote.
Similarly, @Chief Ndi Orlu (@ChiefNdiOrlu) criticised the man for what he described as excessive devotion to someone who might not share his feelings.
“You’re a simp and simps are meant to cry like an ediot,” the user wrote, before adding: “So why crying! Keep crying! Your tears makes me happy SIMP.”
However, @ODE (@ODEpskf) questioned the circumstances surrounding the alleged rejection, pointing to what the user perceived as the likelihood of gifts attracting attention.
“I still don’t get the point. Is he saying she didn’t show up because no Nigerian gilrs would ever decline all that, even if she doesn’t love you? Because for Nigerian girls, gifts and money are like 5 & 6,” the user commented.
Taking a different position, @T Lady (@Officemail44875) argued that the incident, if accurately reported, highlights the limits of spending money to win someone’s affection.
“Love is not measured by how much you spend. Sometimes, you’re spending money on someone who doesn’t value you,” the user wrote.
Meanwhile, @Alawiye BFBK (@Alawiyebfbk) questioned the authenticity of the story and suggested that the alleged expenditure was significant.
“E sure for me say him mama never touch 100k cash before for her life. If this story is real, then una never see anything,” the user stated.
Another commenter, @larry (@SundayOlan3rd), also took a swipe at the man, writing: “May God take this man and his family so they won’t birth any simps again.”.
